Helping People Experience Financial Stability
As the Director of Programs for Restoration House in the Knoxville area, Lori Haskell has years of experience working with single moms who find themselves in difficult circumstances, especially when it comes to finances. They want to be financially self-sufficient but often lack the training and support they need to get there.
One of the ways that Restoration House helps their families is through financial literacy classes. But it can be difficult to find a financial literacy curriculum that is relevant to the challenges that many single moms are facing. That’s where Chalmers was able to help.
A Different Kind of Financial Education
Faith & Finances is our financial literacy curriculum for the U.S. and Canada and is designed to help low-income adults experience restoration in their relationships, learn to steward their money well, navigate the financial system, and avoid predatory lending.
Getting trained as a Faith & Finances facilitator allows you to walk through a holistic financial education program with people through your church or organization toward the goal of Christ-centered flourishing. Through the class, all the financial principles flow out of the truth that Jesus is making all things new, including our money and relationships.
In addition, Faith & Finances takes an interactive, relational approach to learning that appeals to many learning styles and education levels, encourages deep biblical integration, and requires only basic financial knowledge to lead.
The next facilitator training for Faith & Finances starts August 14. If you’re interested in walking alongside your neighbors as you navigate financial wisdom together, click here to register for the next facilitator training.
