God Is Restoring What’s Broken: Kellie’s Story

As we look back on 2025, one theme rises above all others: God is restoring what is broken—through His Church, through His people, and through partners like you.

Kellie’s story is proof.

Kellie arrived at Lighthouse Ministries in Lakeland, Florida with years of trauma, addiction, and loss weighing her down. But through Faith & Finances, one of Chalmers’ biblically-based poverty alleviation programs, everything changed.

She encountered the love of Christ, learned financial skills, and grew deeper in her relationship with God alongside her local church.

Today, Kellie has reconciled with all four of her children and serves as a case manager at Lighthouse, walking with others who face the same struggles she once knew.

“It was like my life was a puzzle that I continuously tried to put together, but there was a piece missing. I realized after being here that God was the missing piece…. Going from the person I was to the person I am today; it literally brings tears to my eyes, and that’s because people didn’t give up on me.”

This is what restoration looks like. And stories like Kellie’s are only possible because of partners like you.

Your gift by December 31 will empower local churches to reflect the heart of Christ and create new stories of transformation like Kellie’s. Please consider a gift of any amount by December 31.

Thank you for partnering with us in this vision of biblical, relational, and sustainable poverty alleviation.
