Drew Belz hails from the isoprene mountains of Asheville, NC. He found his community of friends studying Philosophy and English at Covenant College and discovered his theology of art through the Act One community in Los Angeles. He founded and led creative studio Fancy Rhino in the heart of downtown Chattanooga for fifteen years, telling the stories of big brands and small communities around the world – always with an eye toward character development.

His collaborations include the documentary film Build Me A World, Netflix movie Hunter Gatherer, and an animated Super Bowl series for Chattanooga’s credit union, TVFCU. In a fresh chapter of work, Drew is exploring how the shared experience of stories can set neighborly collaborations in motion.

Drew and his family live again in Asheville now. Together they like listening to loud music, eating pizza and dissecting good movies.
