Chalmers Staff Grows in 2025

2025 has been an exciting season of growth for Chalmers. Last year we moved our offices to downtown Chattanooga — a more central and spacious location. Now, with that foundation in place, we’re stepping into the next phase of ministry with the addition of several key team members who bring rich experience and a shared passion for equipping the Church to walk alongside people experiencing poverty. We’re pleased to introduce the newest members of the Chalmers team!

Luis Noda, Vice President of Products & Strategic Initiatives

Luis oversees the organization’s existing products and all aspects of the product design lifecycle through the products team. This includes identifying opportunities to scale existing products, developing organizational processes to support growth, and efficiently coordinating across functional areas. In addition to scaling existing products, he and his team identify and recommend strategic opportunities that align with the organization’s mission to the executive leadership.

Luis has more than 30 years of experience in international relief and development starting in his country of birth, Bolivia. Over the course of his career, he has held executive leadership roles in the international nonprofit sector, overseeing programs and operations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Pacific.

Mike Meyers, Chief Development Officer

For nearly 30 years, Mike has had the privilege of working in and alongside nonprofit organizations, raising funds globally and serving in leadership roles ranging from chief development officer to CEO.

Most of his career has been spent in the faith-based nonprofit world, where he has helped teams navigate growth, strengthen donor relationships, and launch fundraising efforts that reflect the scope and vision of their mission. Today, as chief development officer for the Chalmers Center, he partners with leadership to expand donor engagement and fuel the center’s mission of equipping churches to walk alongside the poor with dignity and hope.

Drew Belz, Head of Creative Content

Drew hails from Asheville, North Carolina. He studied philosophy and English at Covenant College and discovered his theology of art through the Act One community in Los Angeles. Drew founded the Fancy Rhino creative studio and led that agency for 15 years, telling the stories of big brands and small communities around the world. Drew’s collaborative projects include the documentary film Build Me A World, Netflix movie Hunter Gatherer, and an animated Super Bowl series for Chattanooga’s credit union, TVFCU.

Rebecca Redfield, Director of Listening and Applied Learning

Rebecca finds great joy in helping teams listen well to the people they serve and serve alongside — and then respond faithfully to continually improve those relationships. Prior to joining The Chalmers Center, she led the listening, monitoring, and evaluation team at HOPE International. Rebecca holds an economics degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Theology (Justice and the Public Life) from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Margaret Mwenda, Listening and Applied Learning Specialist

Margaret Mwenda values listening and learning as a practice of faithful stewardship, ensuring that leaders serve responsibly, witness faithfully, and remain accountable to those they are called to serve. For Margaret, evaluation is not only about measuring outcomes and impact but also about honoring the people, finances, time, and mission entrusted to us. Margaret has many years of experience in program evaluation for accreditation, strategic planning, and institutional effectiveness in higher education. She holds a PhD in Higher Education Policy and Leadership, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Education degree.

Elijah Tanner, Director of Strategic Partnerships

Elijah brings four years of experience in partnership work from the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, where he was responsible for a network of thousands of partner organizations.

He received MBA and MDiv degrees from Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business and George W. Truett Theological Seminary in 2021. This focus on business and ministry was rooted in a desire to develop community and to help nonprofits find efficient ministry models that center on the individual.

Molly Swanson, Director of Generosity

Molly is passionate about equipping Christians to worship God through generosity and stewardship, and empowering churches to lift up those experiencing material poverty. Her experience includes years of ministry and nonprofit service both locally and globally. She worked with Casa del Alfarero in the garbage dump of Guatemala City, partnered with Compassion International, and served on the board of directors with Generation 2 Generation Guatemala.

Virginia Fauth, Generosity Specialist

Virginia is humbled and excited to join the Chalmers family! During her undergraduate studies of sociology, psychology, and German at Covenant College, she deepened her love for people, learning how to walk alongside others through various seasons of life. Serving as the generosity specialist at Chalmers, Virginia appreciates the daily opportunities to support our gift partners in their generosity journeys.

Haley Dempsey, U.S. Support Specialist

Haley is the U.S. program support specialist at the Chalmers Center. She is a graduate of Covenant College with a degree in interdisciplinary studies (where she concentrated in business, Spanish, and community development). Haley has a deep passion for supporting others and engaging in work that reflects God’s heart for justice and mercy. Her heart for service has been shaped through her cross-cultural experience on the Yakama Indian Reservation in Washington.
