Tanisha serves as Practitioner Networks Coordinator at the Chalmers Center, where she cultivates and steers a growing network of ministry practitioners walking alongside those in poverty.

Tanisha brings 15+ years of network building, stakeholder engagement, and program coordination across nonprofit and faith-based organizations, including mission work in Kenya with Amani Ya Juu, an asset-based poverty alleviation ministry, and a lifelong connection to Jobs Partnership, a program her mother led. She also spent several years running her own consulting firm, helping nonprofits build meaningful structure around their vision while holding space for creative passion. She is a certified Project Management Professional and holds an MA in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Tanisha’s path to this work is personal as well as professional. Coming from a background shaped by poverty, she found restoration through the local church — discovering financial literacy, spiritual formation, and a clear sense of calling that eventually led her to seminary on a full scholarship. That same calling to teach, disciple, and build community now shapes how she approaches her work connecting Chalmers’ practitioner network.

Outside of work, Tanisha is an artist at heart — you’ll usually find her at a live show or museum, with a good audiobook, or plotting her next road trip.
