Lauren Alegre
Director of Institutional Generosity and Strategy
Lauren Woodside Alegre serves as the Director of Institutional Generosity and Strategy at the Chalmers Center, where she helps generous partners join Chalmers’ mission.
Lauren has spent nearly two decades serving alongside churches, nonprofits, and local leaders across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and North America. She believes the Church is uniquely called to walk alongside those experiencing material poverty so that all can flourish as God intends. Her work has spanned humanitarian response, community development, organizational strategy, partnership development, and helping ministries strengthen their long-term impact. Having lived in Peru for sixteen years, she brings a deep appreciation for listening, learning, and working alongside local leaders as they pursue lasting flourishing in their communities.
Lauren holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a Master’s degree in Education. She loves connecting people around a shared vision, helping organizations think strategically, and seeing the Church grow in its ability to faithfully share God’s love with their communities in word and deed.
Lauren, her husband, Cristian, and their two children, live in the Seattle area.
