Coy Buckley

President/CEO

Coy Buckley grew up in Mobile, Alabama and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Rhodes College. He worked for KPMG as a Certified Public Accountant in the US and Europe before moving to Tanzania and co-founding Equity for Africa Group, a pan-African leasing company providing access to finance for small-to-medium enterprises, particularly in agricultural value chains. After ten years developing asset finance in Tanzania, Coy started CEB Partners, a consultancy specializing in financial advisory and business development support for social enterprises and NGOs operating in East Africa.

Coy and his wife, Kacey, a teacher, have 4 children ages 8-15. The Buckley family enjoys spending time outdoors and climbing mountains, including Kilimanjaro, Meru, and Mount Kenya, and looks forward to exploring outdoor activities in the Chattanooga area. As they transition to living in the US, they are excited about spending more time with family, eating Clumpies ice cream, and frequenting diners that serve buttermilk biscuits and cheese grits.
