POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the VP of Global Strategic Partnerships serves as part of the Management Team. This person is responsible for creating a department that oversees the worldwide distribution of all Chalmers Center’s resources and the creation of sustainable income streams. The person in this role works in a highly collaborative fashion with other departments and with partner organizations to distribute products and training that equips churches around the world to walk alongside people who are poor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commits to pray and advocate for the poor and the church in light of the mission of the Chalmers Center
  • Helps create the Global Strategic Partnerships Team
  • Leads the efforts to create, test, and execute the worldwide channel distribution strategy
  • Proactively searches out new sectors, partners, and distribution methods
  • Acts as one of the primary points of contact for major partners
  • Creatively works with partners to discover ways to meet their needs in advancing the Kingdom
  • Owns, operationalizes, and adapts Chalmers’ Partnership Framework with church-equipping organizations
  • Negotiates and writes MOUs and other partner agreements to be signed by partner representatives and the Chalmers Center Executive Director
  • Acts as internal liaison and advocate for partners
  • Works with other internal Chalmers’ teams
  • Manages staff both in the U.S. and in the Majority World
  • Travels to maintain excellent partner relations both in the U.S. and the Majority World

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passionate for serving Christ’s Kingdom, the church, and people who are poor
  • Executive-level experience in forming mutually enhancing strategic partnerships
  • Proven experience in growing strategic, sustainable sales relationships
  • Articulate about Chalmers’ biblical framework of poverty alleviation and products
  • Experience with Christian relief and development organizations or other ministries working in the Majority World required
  • Strategic thinker who can structure distribution channels as well as complex relationships
  • Creative problem solver who can listen to a partner’s story and quickly ascertain mutual benefits
  • Understands the value of authentic relationships and can build trust
  • Connector, well-networked, and well-versed in the church and nonprofit landscape
  • Experience working with materially poor people is preferred
  • Is more concerned with solutions that advance the kingdom than with advancing the Chalmers Center
  • Experience with minority churches and nonprofits in the U.S. (not required but preferred)
