John Mark Bowers

Senior Director of Curriculum & Training Design

For over 13 years, Mark has put his leadership skills to work at the Chalmers Center in program design, partnership development, curriculum standards, and human-centered, participatory learning design to equip and mentor facilitators and lead trainers across the globe. A builder of strengths-based teams, Mark loves to collaborate on complex intercultural problems of poverty, always centering the voice and experience of people on the margins. Mark earned a B.A. in Psychology from Bryan College and a M.A. in Intercultural Studies through Wheaton College while teaching at Quy Nhon University of Pedagogy in Vietnam. Outside of work, Mark enjoys creating travel adventures with his wife, Tannia, and their two children.
