Director of Operations
Doug is a CPA with a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois. Doug previously worked for 30 years in St. Louis, MO for an international pharmaceutical company in various finance and accounting roles. Doug developed his heart for missions serving with his local church in St. Louis on several mission trips to Peru. Since leaving St. Louis, Doug’s missional focus has been serving orphans and vulnerable children with Lifeline Children’s Services and Food for the Hungry (FH). With Lifeline, the effort has primarily focused on a school for deaf and blind children in the Busega community outside Kampala, Uganda. With FH, Doug has joined the FH community development efforts in both Huancavelica in the highlands of Peru and in Lima. Just prior to joining the Chalmers Center, Doug started serving with a Mission to the World church planting team in West Africa. The focus of Doug’s efforts have been the incorporation of a business as missions aspect in church planting. Doug and his wife, Lee Ann, have three adult children and three grandsons.
