"When Helping Hurts"
Ministry Training
Webinars
The "When Helping Hurts Ministry Training" webinars are a series of live, one-hour web-based training seminars about how to effectively minister to the poor. They review and expand upon the topics presented in the "When Helping Hurts" book. Webinar sessions address topics in the book, and are presented and facilitated by one or both of the authors. On occasion a webinar session may also include a special guest.
In addition, the "Haiti: Helping Without Hurting" Webinar Series reviews principles from the book as they apply to relief and development in response to the Haiti earthquake disaster. To register for this webinar series, go to "Haiti: Helping Without Hurting" webinar series.
Intended Audience
Like the book, the webinars are intended for those who minister to the poor or who are interested in ministry to the poor, whether in the US/Canada or outside of North America. This includes pastors, deacon boards, mercy ministry teams, home and foreign missions committees, missionaries, and donors.
During the webinar, you will hear the audio presentation on your computer, view the presenter's slides, and during select webinars, you will have an opportunity to submit questions to the presenter(s) in advance of and during the webinar.
Registration
There is no charge for the webinars. However, to join a live webinar session, you must register. To register for a particular webinar session, click on the link for the topic listed in the table below.
