Global Fellowship of Trainers


The following individuals are certified members of the Global Fellowship of Trainers.  Please contact the desired trainer directly if you are interested in utilizing their expertise. 

Ms. Leilani Andres

Ms. Andres has served as the Microfinance Auditor/Trainer for the Chalmers Center for Economic Development pilot project in the Philippines in partnership with Food for the Hungry.  Earning a B.A. degree in Natural Resource Economics from University of the Philippines, she is currently a full-time graduate student, working on an M.A. degree in Community Development from University of the Philippines. Ms. Andres has facilitated trainings and provided assistance during orientations at several Christian Economic Development Institutes.  She has also provided assistance in drafting the small business component of the post-tsunami rehabilitation for Food for the Hungry/Indonesia, eventually serving as their Program Development Officer.

Mrs. Ruth Bogere

Mrs. Bogere manages a small business from home.  She holds a B.A. in Commerce, specializing in Finance and Small Scale Projects for women.   She also holds a diploma in Business Studies and certificates in Management Training, International Trade Transactions, Group Administration, and Family Life.  Mrs. Bogere has organized several savings groups for women in her community.  She is a member of the Mother's Union of the Anglican Church and of the Center Advisory Committee.

Mr. Carlo Chege

Mr. Chege serves as the Team Leader for Mission Support Service at CMS Africa and oversees finance, HR/administration, grants, and projects - some of which include microfinance and micro enterprise development. The primary focus of CMS Africa is transformational leadership training which is accessible throughout all of Africa. Mr. Chege is a partially qualified certified public accountant with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and an MBA from Nairobi University. Mr. Chege and his wife have two children.

Ms. Smita Donthamsetty

Ms. Donthamsetty is the Field Trainer/Researcher for the Chalmers Center for Economic Development.  Ms. Donthamsetty earned a B.A. in Sociology from Davidson College, and an M.A. in International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training.  Ms. Donthamsetty has facilitated trainings at several Christian Economic Development Institutes over the past nine years.  Working in the Dominican Republic, she researches and trains church leaders and members in economic development strategies that can be implemented by local churches.

Mrs. Maria Luz Garcia

Mrs. Garcia works with Hope International as the Community Development and Savings-led Program Advisor for Rwanda.  She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines where she finished her B.A. in Community Development and M.A. in Professional Studies in Development Communication.  Mrs. Garcia has field tested materials in the Philippines for the Chalmers Center for Economic Development, as well as assisted in facilitating several Christian Economic Development Institutes (CEDIs) in various countries.

Mrs. Sarah Isabirye

After teaching with Campus Crusade for sixteen years, Mrs. Isabirye teaches seminars on family life skills and savings policies in an informal setting.  She is a member of the Anglican Church of Uganda and has trained several women’s savings groups in setting clear policies.  She also has trained youth leaders in savings as a skill and church leaders on how poverty has affected the church.

Mrs. Kasule is the director of the Mother’s Union for Uganda.

Mr. Luke Kinoti

Mr. Kinoti has over seventeen years of hands-on experience in promoting microfinance in Kenya. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.A in Community Development from the University of Nairobi. Mr. Kinoti is the Founder and Managing Director of Fusion Capital Limited and Riziki.  He has also served as the Country Director of the Ecumenical Church Loan Fund (Kenya) and later as a Small Enterprise Specialist with African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF).

Mr. Samuel Kisolo

Mr. Kisolo is the Director of Youth With a Mission in Uganda.  He has a diploma from Uganda Technical College in Electrical Engineering and a certificate from Daystar University in Social Leadership and Community Development.   Mr. Kisolo is engaged with YWAM Mercy Ministries and the University Of Nations.  He trains churches and facilitates domestic and international workshops in Community Development, Missions, and HIV/AIDS.

Mrs. Salome Leipa

Mrs. Leipa is a Provincial Coordinator and Trainer for the Mother’s Union of the Anglican Church of Kenya.  She has earned diplomas in Leadership and Christian ministries, and is currently enrolledin an M.A. program in HIV/AIDS studies.  She conducts regular trainings on parenting, family life, and entrepreneurship.

Mrs. Robin McMahan

Mrs. McMahan is a missionary to Ecuador with Mission to the World. She has a B.A. in Psychology and is currently pursuing graduate studies in economic development.  She has helped to pioneer several school savings groups as well as several ASCA groups.  Mrs. McMahan also teaches stewardship workshops in churches and small business classes for low-income entrepreneurs.  She is in the process of training others to use these strategies to teach technical skills with a strong biblical foundation.

Mr. Alvin Mbola

Mr. Mbola is a lecturer at Carlile College, a theological institution that offers courses for pastors and churches in Holistic Transformational Development, Business as Mission, and Practical Research and Training.  Mr. Mbola is a community worker who trains and assists churches in their communities to initiate, manage, and evaluate microfinance and microenterprise development ministries.

Mrs. Catherine Mwangi

Mrs. Mwangi is the Program Manager for the Narok Integrated Development Program of the Anglican Church of Kenya.  She is a member of the Board of Finance, Board of Social Services, and Board of Education.  She is currently enrolled in an M.A. program in Development Studies at St. Paul’s University of Limuru.  She has extensive experience with microenterprise development through coordinating rotating savings and credit associations (ROSCA) among women and youth in the community, as well as in development projects concerning food security, livestock, income generating activities, and education for girls.

Mrs. Rose Muthama

Mrs. Muthama is a Disaster Management and Emergency Program Coordintor with the Anglican Church of Kenya. Working for social transformation, her role is to coordinate and facilitate emergency relief work efforts of the church at the local, regional, and national levels.  By facilitating the partnership with small microfinance institutions, Mrs. Muthama helps the church to carry out its entrepreneurial initiatives in regard to partnership issues.  She also has experience in training focus groups on self-help initiatives, microenterprise, and community development.

Mrs. June Nderitu

Ms. Nderitu is a Project Officer working with the Anglican Church of Kenya - Directorate of Social Services.  She holds B.A. degrees (Political Science and French Studies) from the University of Nairobi.  She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Communication at Daystar University. Having served as a volunteer in humanitarian assistance and emergency response efforts previously, Ms. Nderitu is now a member of the Microenterprise Development Network (MED), established to develop strategies that stir up a spirit of enterprise in the church by engaging in microfinance alongside of microenterprise development.
