Course Description
This is an orientation course that provides a foundation for working with low-income individuals to address many of the challenges that they face. It gives an overview of poverty profiles in the United States and identifies and evaluates the primary forms of microeconomic intervention strategies that exist within the church in the areas of savings and asset accumulation, financial literacy, and job training.

Course Material: Reading and written assignments accessible over the Internet. In addition, a course handbook is provided by the Chalmers Center. No separate material purchase is necessary.
